Golden Boy Meeting
(Blog Spot 4)
I am a promotional free agent and yesterday (Tuesday, Dec. 15, 2009) we had a meeting in Los Angeles with Richard Schaefer, CEO of Golden Boy Promotions. Everybody - fighters, managers and even other promoters -- had nothing but good things to say about Richard. After meeting with him, we also agree. Our meeting went very well. I'm happy with what Golden Boy offered and we're waiting for a formal proposal to review. Keep checking back right here for updates on my promotional situation.

Bad decisions hurting boxing

Following my dream…
On the road towards my dream of becoming world heavyweight champion, I’m looking in the rearview mirror, seeing the loss of contact I’ve had with some friends and family.
I look to my right and left, but the windows are darkened. My hand-picked team has controlled me, isolating me from family and friends who were trying to reach out to me. (More)

The horrible decision on a recently nationally televised show from Houston was another perfect example of what’s wrong with professional boxing. (More) |

Dear Mr. Kraft,
I wanted to wish you and the New England Patriots good luck this season, as well as thank you again for all of the Super Bowl invites you extended me and my family over the years.
I’ll never forget the time you honored me at one of the games in Foxboro. We all have some great memories, thanks to you and The Pats.
I may live in Las Vegas but I’ll always be a diehard Patriots fan.
Regards,

On behalf of the entire Ruiz family, I wish to pass along our condolences to Sen. Edward Kennedy’s family on his passing. We have all respected and admired Sen. Kennedy for many, many years.
Our mother named all of her children after the Kennedys – John, Edward, Robert and Jackie – because of her strong belief in what the Kennedy family did for us.
We truly appreciate what Sen. Kennedy did for all Americans, especially those of us who moved to and grew-up in Massachusetts, where we benefited so often from Sen. Kennedy representing us in the U.S. Senate.
Ted Kennedy will also be remember and never replaced.
Sincerely,
John “The Quietman” Ruiz

To Whom It May Concern,
I have always enjoyed being involved in charitable work and I have recommitted my dedication to giving back even more to those less fortunate.
I would be excited to be involved with your organization’s fund-raising efforts. If are interested in joining forces, all we ask is that you forward a note to us with a brief description of your organization, along with contact information, to post on my web site. No organization is too big or too small.

I am offering to help all interested charitable organizations and all those posted will receive my assistance and personal support.
